Use vsftp or scp or rsync. All are already available in the opensuse distribution. If your users need point and click, then I would recommend that you set up vsftp. This will allow your users to use konqueror, or gftp as a client on linux or, heaven forbid, windows explorer on the other side.
If they are cli competent, then have them use scp or rsync. As long as you have ssh enabled, both scp and rsync work by default.
