Hello,
Running 10.3 and after every reboot the eth for the LAN goes offline and is replaced with a new eth number that needs to set up. It also has a different MAC address. Its the nVidia nic that is having the problem. I have never seen this before. Below is what I could gather from ../log/messages. Any ideas how to fix this? Thank you. ~James
I have the fuzzy recollection of having heard of this same problem time ago, hopefully in this list. Search the archive, perhaps you can find it. I don't remember the final cause or solution. If the MAC changes, the system thinks it is a new card and will need to configure it. Perhaps there is some utility to change the MAC back. - -- Cheers, Carlos E.
