I have 2 non-identical emachines, both running Suse 10.3, both have a dvd drive that reads/writes to dvd-ram. On 1 machine I saved some files on a dvd-ram media to take to work. When I installed the media in the second machine, it does not recognize the drive. Both of these are new (< 6 months old), so they are SATA drives, not IDE. Installing a cd in the second computer does not get a response. I tried fdisk /dev/sdb, sdc, sdd, all with 'unable to access drive'. /dev/sda worked fine. Thoughts?
