One of the computers I am doing tech support for is having some minor issues with openSUSE 10.3. One problem is that the keyboard randomly stops working, and the only way to get the keyboard back is to log out of KDE and log back in (restart X). I was poking around in the messages log to see if there were any hints in there to point to what might be wrong... one thing I did notice was literally hundreds of entries like this: Apr 5 19:57:29 Blue kernel: [ 5669.263810] ALSA sound/usb/usbaudio.c:352: frame 0 active: -18 Apr 5 19:57:29 Blue kernel: [ 5669.263813] ALSA sound/usb/usbaudio.c:352: frame 0 active: -18 Apr 5 19:57:29 Blue kernel: [ 5669.264790] ALSA sound/usb/usbaudio.c:352: frame 0 active: -18 Apr 5 19:57:29 Blue kernel: [ 5669.264798] ALSA sound/usb/usbaudio.c:352: frame 0 active: -18 Apr 5 19:57:29 Blue kernel: [ 5669.264801] ALSA sound/usb/usbaudio.c:352: frame 0 active: -18 Apr 5 20:06:08 Blue kernel: [ 6188.770856] ALSA sound/usb/usbaudio.c:352: frame 0 active: -18 Apr 5 20:16:58 Blue kernel: [ 6838.356931] ALSA sound/usb/usbaudio.c:352: frame 0 active: -18 Apr 5 20:16:58 Blue kernel: [ 6838.356940] ALSA sound/usb/usbaudio.c:352: frame 0 active: -18 There is a Logitech USB headset plugged into this computer, and it is working properly. The keyboard is a Logitech s510 (wireless, and yes, the batteries are good.. they have been checked and rechecked). Anyone know what the message above means? Could it be related to the problem of the keyboard dropping off at random intervals?
