How does one figure out which driver a webcam requires, or even if there is one? I seem to be finding nothing but questions and no answers for my 0x572 Rockwell Ezcam II. http://mxhaard.free.fr/spca5xx.html says module spca5xx should work, but 10.2's modprobe can't find it. :-(
If you know it's spca you should try the gspcav1 driver from the buildservice.
I never used build service before. I found there: spca5xx-kmp-bigsmp (i586) spca5xx-kmp-debug (i586) spca5xx-kmp-default (i586) spca5xx-kmp (source) All those are listed as Factory_Vanilla. I tried the 1 click on kmp-default. That gets me a dep conflict "no installable providers of ...2.6.23_gbbf25010_22.1-13.39...". Now what? -- "Let us not love with words or in talk only.
