Hi,
some additonal info:
My graphic card is an ATI Mobility Radeon 9700.
To enable/disable compiz I go just to the gnome-configuration window -> configure 3D Desktop effects -> enable/disable desktop effects.
This time I did not intall anything. and it was the first time it worked.
I already tried to install the ATI -propretairy driver but that didn't solve anything.
Thanks and regards,

Make sure you have the following installed: 23:14 Rankin-P35a~> rpm -qa | grep compiz compiz-0.7.0-5.1 compiz-fusion-plugins-main-0.6.9_git080208-1.1 libcompizconfig-0.6.9_git080208-1.1 compiz-emerald-themes-0.6.0-1.1 compiz-kde-0.7.0-5.1 python-compizconfig-0.6.9_git080208-1.1 compizconfig-settings-manager-0.6.9_git071204-4.4 compiz-fusion-kde-0.6.2-3.1 compiz-fusion-plugins-extra-0.6.9_git080208-2.1 compiz-emerald-0.6.9_git080208-1.1 Then see: http://www.3111skyline.com/download/linux/compiz/Compiz-Howto_ATI-Mobility-R... (that is all one line in case it gets wrapped) That should do it. -- David C. Rankin, J.D., P.E.
