Wow! A new level of anal retentiveness.....
This guy filters top poster to the trash, then goes through the trash on a
regular basis looking for people to scold?
Made my day. Someone has more issues than me?
Didn't think it was possible.
And I got some bonus practice setting up filters to boot!

You've already been filtered to the trash on my
end, plus many others
if you persist in top posting.

The grub entry helps when I use my KVM switch, otherwise I loose my wheel. Make sure if you have a KVM switch, that you get the mouse to work on a fresh boot before your use the KVM.

Yes, it depends on xorg.conf. And the driver, evdev, does't work as we expected, at the moment.

I think so. According to your Xorg.0o.log, the setting is as follows;
Section "InputDevice" Driver "mouse" Identifier "Mouse[1]" Option "Buttons" "12" Option "Name" "Logitech MX Laser Mouse" Option "Device" "/dev/input/mice" Option "Protocol" "explorerps/2" Option "Vendor" "Sysp" Option "ZaxisMapping" "4 5" Option "ButtonMapping" "1 2 3 6 7 8 9 10" EndSection
