I've never done in upgrade, I've always preferred to install fresh and migrate applications/data to the fresh install. However, I was issued a new dell workstation that is only USB and I can't get 10.3 to install. (Yes I have the latest BIOS, no there is no enable legacy usb option, and yes I have tried a powered USB hub) The problem is the keyboard works fine when the BIOS is doing its thing, however, as soon as the SuSE install window appears where you select install or boot from hard disk -- the keyboard is not functional. (and the default option is to boot from hard disk) I've ran into this before with 10.3 on other workstations and once you get it installed a USB keyboard works fine, however, this new box has no PS2 ports so I can't use a PS2 keyboard in the interim. I was going to install 10.2 because apparently it doesn't have the initrd bug that us causing this issue. Can I upgrade to 10.3 from within a running 10.2 installation or do I have to boot from a 10.3 media to initiate the upgrade? If not, how much of a pain in the arse is it to build a bootable install media with "install" as the default option instead of boot from hard disk?
