Well, this is how mailing-lists work. Similar to a web forum - there are a lot of posts, but you don't have to read them all. Just make sure your mail program can sort openSUSE mails correctly.
Or the email service provider, in case one uses IMAP. Of course, the likes of Pine/Alpine can effective sort also IMAP folders, moving things round etc. automatically upon entering the folder. I find it easier, though, to simply have the server filter things upon their arrival, or to use plus addressing to send stuff directly into folders.
GMail can.
GMail is quite good for a webmail, but a bit too much on the slow side, as webmails tend to be. The older version of the UI was quicker and more responsive, at least on my Firefox. Its IMAP is somewhat slow too and not too snappy. Or was at least when I last tried.
