what I would do is to make the SLES box to authenticate to LDAP, and create all the users in the LDAP directory (In that way you don't have to create the users twice)...
you could use something like LAM to manage the accounts

I have only a simple setup at home and do not manage a corporate type network where your suggestion would be better suited.

Using SLES10 SP1 and using it as a Samba PDC (i configured Samba server with yast). I can join (using a winxp system for right now) the domain without any problems. I then created a user on the samba server using yast->user management; tried to login on the winxp system and get "domain is not available". My question is, what is the correct way to create users for samba? Do i need to use ldap?
Chris
The user and password have to be created in SuSE using Yast and in Samba (using swat). On the PC here, Samba is restarted to ensure the new users are setup.
