Okay, sorry, as Will stated correctly, the file to look at is ~/.kde/share/config/kmailrc In KDE, configuration files are again structured. E.g., they have groups that contain the actual settings. Groups are indicated by those square brackets. Hence, you have to search for [General] and then find the line below that starts with Recent Addresses: ... [General] ... Recent Addresses=opensuse@opensuse.org,,dougs_gf@example.com,... ...
I'm running 9.3--don't know as that's the problem.
Again, as Will said, ~/.kde/share/config/kmailrc should be there even on 9.3. IMHO at least since KDE 3.
