I burned a 10.3 "live" disk and tried it out. Thinking about using this as a rescue disk, I tried to mount the hard drive only to find that /dev/hdan (where n is a number from 1 to 8) was not recognized as a device. Is there any way I could get the "live" CD to recognize and let me have access to the partitions on my hard drive with data on them?
Try /sdaN instead of /dev/hdaN: http://www.suse.com/relnotes/i386/openSUSE/10.3/RELEASE-NOTES.en.html#08 HTH Jan -- Remember the turtle, he never makes any progress until he sticks his neck out. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
