I copied my /etc/sysconfig/SuSEfirewall 2 script from a working 10.2 installation to a new installation of 10.3, ran rcSuSEfirewall2 restart and guess what? It didn't work.
Is there any easy way to translate the mac addresses you have in 10.2 to the eth0, eth1, eth2 stuff you seem to have to have in 10.3? (yeah ok, you can work it out but J*s, what a pain!) They change fro eth to mac and then back again.
I would suggest using Yast, Security and Users, Firewall module and just edit the interfaces there. It may not translate, but it can help. -- Joe Morris Registered Linux user 231871 running openSUSE 10.3 x86_64 -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
