Hi, I am working with 10.3/32 bit. First of all congratulations to the best linux that I ever saw. Much easier, many things much quicker (look at package management) and overall it is polished greatly, I am amazed. Now: I installed from DVD and after the install I copied the DVD as an iso to my harddisk and configured this iso to be another software repository. Anything trouble free and very easy to do. However I am working with a rather limited internet connection, both in regard to speed and volume. Now, my impression is that although many files are on the DVD (iso), very often, the Internet repositories are queried and used for downloading. Two questions: Is this assumption correct? How can I enforce that whatever I want to install, the iso is used firstly and only when there is nothing or something old on it, the other online repositories are used. In other words, I want to have as many repositories as I need, but I want the iso to be used, whenever possible. I vaguely remember that in previous versions you could move the configured repos up or down, thus prioritizing them, if I recall correctly. Thanks very much for help and kind regards Eberhard. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
