[10-15-07 12:46]: I wasn't sure about lock files, but it is easy to reproduce error by running 2 processes that access package database and look in y2log: 2007-10-15 11:30:46 <1> linux-d2eh(17659) [zypp] ZYppFactory.cc(lockerPid):180 read: Lockfile /var/run/zypp.pid has pid 17499 (our pid: 17659)
Look in /var/run/ for stale yast.pid or zypp.pid.
thanks Rajko, was zyp :^)
ssh'ed in and killed the process (zyp) and now y2base sw_single runs fine.
another point to remember.....
New error, pop-up window: Cleaning repository 'Packman Repository' cache Abort Hangs here and the abort button has no effect. I am unable to remove the repository. Where does yast keep it's cache files now? or is that the problem????? openSUSE 10.3 tks, - -- Patrick Shanahan Plainfield, Indiana, USA HOG # US1244711 http://wahoo.no-ip.org Photo Album: http://wahoo.no-ip.org/gallery2 Registered Linux User #207535 @ http://counter.li.org -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v2.0.4-svn4472 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQFHE72EClSjbQz1U5oRAlDZAJ9PS9km0aIEf+d/BanQev/k2dF6IgCfUsL2 uc3XKJiypqm3OBtdw4v9rDA= =8Ve/ -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
