I just got a Lenovo X-61 laptop. It came with Vista Business I delete vista an install OpenSuse 10.2 from the DVD (box). Everything went OK but the I cannot connect wireless with the cable modem. Here some some details wireless chip: INTELPRO/WL3945ABGUSCNLAAP Cable Modem: Webstar (by scientific-atlantic) DPX2203 The laptop is out of the box and with the exception of deleting the sda2 partition that had Vista and install opensuse I did not do anything. The wireless is on and you can see also the light on indicating that the radio is on. yast recognized the wireless chip and load the module ipw3945. It also recognized the wired chip. Using yast I enter OPEN/ESSID and hex password. I tried different ways of activating it like "since boot" "On cable" manual. When the knetwork manager start try to establish the connection and stops in 28% in a couple of occasions in 57% and stops there. I also try manual with #iwconfig #ifdown eth1 and ifup eth1 I can not get an IP. The setup is for DCHP TIA -=terry=- -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
