Hi 2.0.4 openoffice from SuSE doesn't let me save database forms created with the wizard. I downloaded 2.2.1 and it does let me save forms but only via the inbuilt database. I can't connect to MySQL databases as before as choosing Tool>Options>Java crashes openoffice and so I can't choose a jre or jdbc class.
I'm using OpenOffice_org-2.2.1-43.1 in opensuse 10.2 and I can. But I had to play with the java versions. From memory, I think I'm using the one from Sun (via suse's rpms, version 1.5.0_12), and I had to install the mysql-connector-java-3.1.12-35 rpm. I can connect to my MySQL databases, but I haven't tried forms. HTH. - -- Cheers, Carlos E.
