Thank you for your reply. I have upgraded my kernel:
# uname -a Linux Adi-Laptop 2.6.18.8-ccj45-default #1 SMP Fri Mar 2 13:51:59 UTC 2007 i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux
Unfortunately, it is still the same error:
Adi-Laptop:/home/adi # iptables -t tproxy -A PREROUTING -i eth0 -p tcp -m tcp --dport 80 -j TPROXY --on-port 80 iptables v1.3.6: Unknown arg `--on-port' Try `iptables -h' or 'iptables --help' for more information.
Just use -j REDIRECT --to-port 80 [ Your iptables does not have TPROXY patched in (yeah, the error message is confusing but also happens with -j DOESNOTEXIST --on-port). ] Just FYI: My iptables package (and kernels 2.6.22) contain tproxy version *4*, but squid does not have tproxy4 support yet. So yeah, kinda an awkward position, but I am a bit tight on time so I won't know when I would have the chance to put tp4 into squid.
