Hi,
I updated my Firefox from http://software.opensuse.org/download/mozilla/SUSE_Linux_10.1/ to 2.0.0.4-8.3 a couple of days ago and now it cannot display some JPEG images, such as the background image showing 3 suns in my old symposium page: http://www.mece.ualberta.ca/space/ and an image of the Foleo that should show up below the video here: http://blogs.zdnet.com/Berlind/?p=606&tag=nl.e540
If I try to load the image alone in this case I get: The image “http://blogs.zdnet.com/Berlind/images/foleo.JPG” cannot be displayed, because it contains errors.
Anyone else getting this? Older Firefoxes I have don't show this problem.

I had the same symptoms if I want to see some of Panoramio images on Google Earth. Click on blue ball opened small window and showed image, but clicking on that image opened Panoramio web page without images, and click on link to see original size opened window with message that image can't be presented because it contains errors. The cure that worked always was to add line: export BROWSER=konqueror in .bashrc, and log out and back in. The other option was to run the same line before calling googleearth from command line or export BROWSER=firefox and then call googleearth. BTW, I updated firefox right now, and jpeg image was present, but no flash video. Mozilla has good support for plugins on: http://plugindoc.mozdev.org/ I have 64 bit Firefox and it needs nspluginwrapper that is included in above repository, but not installed by default. After installing it about:plugins will show all installed plugins. -- Regards, Rajko. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
