Or it's ability to reconcile items.. 1) although I have the 64bit kernal installed it insists I need to install a 586 one. I thought it might just be that someone hadn't updated the language. Since a check of the check marks and update items shows it is the 64bit kernal yast chose.. it spaz-es at this point in the install and brings up an empty conflict screen, which never goes away, and leaves on w/o any updates critical or not.. 2) it's most unhelpful this way, since once again there is something the updater/whatever it's called that sits in the kicker and monitors such updates just hates! , Usually claiming some language is in error and it also faints , w/o getting whatever update is out there.. These two items are exhibiting behaviour that makes me wonder if the group "depreciating " yast" is perhaps not playing nicely w/ the group working on the little "updater" icons that sit in the tray and just drive people spare.. that part works, btw, granted w/ me it's a short trip, but still and all, it's not obviously understandable what usefulness will come of it. No,I must give credit where it's due, it lists, sometimes, but not always, updates or security fixes.. most often it simply tells me that there is an error in some paragraph. Which is where we started w/ it, isn't it? One really needs one of these two things to be working to have a healthy system, no? Maybe it's just me using up my karma points while the week's end is still days away <sigh> -- j I've lived in the real world enough, we're all here because we ain't all there. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
