Third, I tried to download and install KDE DVD Wizard.

However, it comes with the instructions to run some .kmdr file, which is an xml file. Any ideas how to get this to work? I tried to install kommander, thinking it would run the file, but running the kommander line from the CLI (ugh!) gives me command not found. (Yet it shows up in SMART and YaST.)
Personally, I like to use the nice little entry in the KDE menu to start it, but you'd need to install it using an RPM[0] that includes the desktop file so you can. However, it's also possible to use the command line by using the command:
kmdr-executor /opt/kde3/bin/DVDAuthorWizard.kmdr
That's assuming that the kmdr script is installed in /opt/kde3/bin .

Thank you - I ended up getting Kommander installed. Turns out you don't install the "Kommander" package but rather the kdewebdev3 package. In any case, after installing it, I got the .kmdr file working and the wizard worked like a charm. I ended up making a DVD with no problem. Nothing fancy, just a menu with a few buttons, music and a background. (Of course I had a video on there as well.) I'll be able to get into a bit more complicated items soon. I'd like to get into how to split the menu into chapters. Thanks!! -- k -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
