Hi Patrick,
hummm, is it drunk or ... ?
No sir ! not me or the applet ;-)
but I might be :)^
The phase that is showing is not the same as seeing the phase of the Moon. Right now the phase of the Moon is around 1/2 moon. The phase showing in the kicker bar is showing a 3/4 moon. 6 days past full moon.
My *first* guess would be that you have a system "date" problem, but your email header does not indicate that. You still might check, two places. Right click on the date applet lower right corner and check timezone, etc. Also try the "Personal Settings (configure desktop)" application from the kde-menu lower left corner. Also, from the command-line: Date echo $TZ
More clues at to what you are experiencing would be necessary first. I've been "out of sync with reality" for many years. My wife will attest to that, but there is little chance of "putting it right". :^)
My wife would say the same about me. Since my trip to Australia in 1966 my wife says I am still suffering jetlag from then ;-)
At last. A clue. I was there all of 1960 and 61 (^: Still get some thing upside down. Might have been the Swanns Lager. Another clue. I just activated the "Moon Phase" applet. Right clicking gives a configuration option, but I see nothing there. btw, my applet also shows about 3/4 moon and my atomic clock shows 1/2 moon. Definitely a mystery.
