Using SLED10 and when i first installed the OS, you are asked how you want to login (local, edir and windows domain), i chose windows domain and was able to login without any problems. Then there was an update through zmd for samba, samba-client and samba-winbind. I applied these updates and now when logging into the domain, users must ALWAYS keep trying until it finally lets them in. In other words, we get "username and password incorrect" and we keep trying and finally it will let use in. How to troubleshoot this problem?
Any help is appreciated.
One question: can you only log in as a user with a windows account? Or do local linux accounts still work as well? I have always wondered about this. The install choice implies an either/or thing. I am especially curious about the linux root account. -- Roger Oberholtzer OPQ Systems / Ramböll RST Ramböll Sverige AB Kapellgränd 7 P.O.
