This um, Ausie, is probably going to reevaluate whether he is bound by US law or not while he contemplates in a US penitentiary... room and board at um, my expense... (US tax payer).
...this is the (yet) part... the U.S. has for some time trying to extend its jurisdiction both morally and legally to other states.. In this particularly case the UK defendants were tried in the UK under a rather interesting bit of english law (conspiracy [to defraud], Often used to try and get someone on a more major sentence either when the original activity would have only minor penalties and the CPS thinks it may have a problem proving its case on the original charges, to get a result one has merely to prove intent to perform a criminal act ), also cost the UK tax payer somewhat. Oz has in recent years been much more compliant to the US, (e.g. the Aussies sent troops to Vietnam, Harold Wilson when asked to join the party politely declined ). -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.5 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with SUSE - http://enigmail.mozdev.org iD8DBQFGQGi+asN0sSnLmgIRAllEAKDV+1fypZWobrxF+pKIiYVwy0Ct3wCgvRJ8 hMZiWMdlAkODHBYAywVl5Og= =M0pw -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
