Hi, I have continuously problems with knetworkmanager. Now I am using openSuSE-10.2. If I am at home, having a wireless network, after login it asks for the kwallet password to get the wireless network key, and then the knetworkmanager icon disappears from the system tray, and it does not connect. The process 'knetworkmanager' is still running, I have to kill it and restart it. Then it reappears again in the system tray, and I can use it. I have discovered that if I remove the Cipher=16 line from the corresponding section of knetworkmanagerrc, then everything works fine: it does not try to automatically connect to the wireless network, only if I explicitely select this network; then it asks for the kwallet password, and connects nicely. The only problem is that every time it overwrites knetworkmanagerrc, putting that problematic Cipher=16 line into it, so the next time I run into problems again. Any idea? Thanks Daniel (Also previously, with SuSE-10.1: randomly, and quite frequently, it connected to my home wireless network without asking for a password to kwallet, other times it did ask for a password, but then popped up a message that 'there have been repeated failed attempts to access a wallet' and then I had to enter the key to the wireless network manually.) -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
