When i now start odccm it returns silently, can i assume that it started properly? Now i don't know what to do next... The IPAQ is, according to /var/log/messages', connected. Entering 'pls' returns pls pls: Could not find configuration at path '(Default)' Entering 'rapip:///' in konqueror returns Could not start process Unable to create io-slave: klauncher said: Error loading 'kio_rapip'. I have found a synce-kde-pack-0.9.1-6.src.rpm on my system (probably from the old OpenSuse 10.1?), it is installed and contains thinks like rapip etc. Where did you get your 'synce-kde' from? thanks Marcel Mark Goldstein wrote:

The initial USB connect seems to work now after some troubles(it is
a HP
IPAQ 6910), but then i get this error:
======================== noty:~ # odccm ** ERROR **: Failed to connect to system bus: Failed to connect to socket /var/run/dbus/system_bus_socket: Connection refused
I can say that after I found out how to configure all components (orange, unshield, dynamite and synce-kde) to go to the right directories, rapi works OK to me (well, there is no kcemirror for some reason, but I did not use it anyway).
