After installing both Suse 10.2 and FedoraCore 6 and banging around on both of them a little, my impressions are: Both installations went very well, no surprises. FC-6 uses Gnome; KDE is available but not installed. Gnome is better than I remember, but still sucks in comparison. FC-6, in its distributed form, is less capable than Suse 10.2 but is still adequate for many home users. FC-6's update tools are un-intuitive and clumsy to change. Once mastered they work well, but the mastering is a pain. I could go on but the point is that Suse 10.2, for me, is a better distro.
