If you are using Named Based Virtual Hosting (which I would guess from your email that you are), then the server has to see the domain you are requesting as part of the request (when you type www.somedomain.com, www.somedomain.com is actually sent to the web server). So, you have to get your actual request to the server. You can do this in two ways: 1) Set up a temporary DNS server an point it to the new site, then set your machine to use that server. 2) Add an entry to the hosts file with each of your sites and the IP of the new server. hi! I just created VirtualHosts for 2 domains on my dedicated server using Yast. I put them in /srv/www/ directory /srv/www/domain1.com /srv/www/domain2.com
but, now I have no idea where to look for them (in browser)? when type in localhost or IP address (domain names are still pointed to old server until new one is up and running) the server is showing "default" site.
thanks for any help.
