Hello. Just got a new Compaq Presario V3000 notebook. The "NVidia GeForce Go 6150" card is automatically configured by smart SuSE 10.1 installation. Check display card properties, it shows the "Enable 3D accelerate" checkbox is in gray color, that is, I cannot check this checkbox.
This video card is listed as supported by XGL (http://gentoo-wiki.com/HARDWARE_Video_Card_Support_Under_XGL#nVidia_Cards)
when I go to "gnome-xgl-settings" I was told 3D is not enabled and ask me to go to enable it in SaX. As I said, the checkbox for "enable 3D" is not valid. glxgears reports about 500FPS, but I cannot tell if that means 3D accelerate or just software emulated.
how can I enable 3D? Thanks for suggestions.
