I have a Dell Inspiron 9400 (Core 2 Duo) with an Intel PRO/Wireless 3945ABG card. It is a dual boot system with SuSE 10.1 (32 bit) and Windows XP. The wireless works well in both Linux and Windows, but when I've been in Windows and re-boot to Linux, the wireless connects and gives me an IP address, but nothing will route out of the laptop. This is a recurring problem, not a one-time glitch, with both ifup/ifdown and KNetworkManager. ifconfig shows a valid IP address, and route shows correct networking and gateway. The only workaround I have found is to use YaST to switch from KNetworkManager to the standard ifup/ifdown system, reboot, then switch back to KNetworkManager and reboot a second time. This consistently restores my connectivity. I had thought perhaps the card's microcode needed to be reloaded, but according to the Intel site, each OS puts its own microcode in a different place. I am hoping someone on the list can give me a better way to solve my problem. Thanks in advance, Buddy Coffey Advanced Electromagnetics
