The logging from zmd is a little atypical - any chance of bringing it under control of logrotate etc.? I don't really want all these tiny files piling up in /var/log/.
/etc/zmd/zmd.conf does not seem to offer many options.
You are right, they are a lot of files (I have 51 of around 2..4KiB). And I dont' see how to control them. They don't seem to come from syslog; however, there is a /etc/logrotate.d/zmd-backend file, that could do something. Mmmm, no... The size is set to 1M, and rotates in 7 days. There are only 7 zmd-backend.log*bz2 archives. Those are not the problem. - -- Cheers, Carlos E.
