I'm running Suse 10.1 on a laptop with a touchpad. I find that the gestures (tapping etc.) are really irritating, as they get over-enthusiastic and trigger things I wasn't wanting. Previously, in 9.3 I had the gestures disabled ... Anyone know how to do this?
...Anyway, to control the touchpad functions you need to install the package "ksynaptics". ... Cheers, Carlos FL Thanks for the pointer Carlos, I think I recognize this package name now you mention it. Anyway, after some trouble with sourceforge, I downloaded this package but it doesn't build. I think the problem is that now I'm running Gnome, not KDE. I run "make configure" but then when I run "make" it says: checking for KDE... configure: error: in the prefix, you've chosen, are no KDE headers installed. This will fail. So, check this please and use another prefix! Unfortunately, I'm not sure how to handle this one (OK, it's not that I'm unsure, I have no clue!) Any suggestions anyone?
