Because neither of these are distributed with 9.3? Because it should be possible to do the entire system configuration, including adding/removing software packages, using only the default system configuration tool?
Well, AFAIK, that's kind of what Novell/SUSE was thinking when they released Zen with 10.1 a few months back. Zen is supposed to do updates to packages along with official security releases.
I don't know much about Zen, since I'm using 9.3 -- but AFAIK, Zen is just a package maintenance tool, not a system administration tool like Yast is.
