ffmpeg/faad2 are not SUSE packages.
Right, they are not. But it would be nice if zmd/zypp/whatever could resolve the dependencies anyway. It seems to be a general problem with i586/i686 packages. Without knowing what zmd/zypp/whatever are doing there internally, I'd like to point out that SUSE ships glibc and db for both i586/i686 and that problems in this area might become unpleasant if/when a glibc or db update is released. Having that said, I think that this dependency resolution failure is caused by PackMan not uploading the i586/i686 packages simultaneously. The i586 packages are always available first. Assuming that this is really the reason, zmd's/zypp's behaviour is somewhat correct (offering i586/i686 packages in different versions is broken), but still annoying.
