Hi everybody
I just wanted to bring my system to the lastest developements, so I showed all installed packages in Yast and checked "update all with never versions", a list with approx. 1 GB resulted, including all the KDE stuff.
Ok, I started the download, the stuff from packman came in fast at normal speed, but now, while downloading the kde packages the connection is extremely slow (it says, that it will take another 4 hours to load down 570 MB). gkrellm shows me that there is no network traffic at all for some seconds, then there is a short connection for half a second or so and then again a break...
How comes? Anybody else experiencing this?
It can't be my internet connection, as e-mailing or browsing the internet works at normal speed on my DSL line.
I have experienced similar. Someone at SUSE had the "bright" idea to replace a working system, with one that's crap. We're still waiting for them to fix it. -- Check the headers for your unsubscription address For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the archives at http://lists.suse.com Please read the FAQs: suse-linux-e-faq@suse.com
