It's slow as a dog, and if I don't disable DMA, it goes AWOL after a few minutes. So it's obviously on it's last legs.
What is the quickets/safest/most effective way to get my stuff off it?
tar up the useful stuff (/home, /etc, some of /var, and other stuff you've edited) onto a networked disk (probably without compression depending on your network bandwidth). Leave the stuff you can install from OS disks. -- David Smith Work Email: Dave.Smith@st.com STMicroelectronics Home Email: David.Smith@ds-electronics.co.uk Bristol, England GPG Key: 0xF13192F2 -- Check the headers for your unsubscription address For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the archives at http://lists.suse.com Please read the FAQs: suse-linux-e-faq@suse.com
