Can somebody explain how to make hp-toolbox able to see my network printer, which is an HP 6980 with a built in 802.11 wireless interface, listening on direct printing port 9100?
It works fine for printing, and appears in the cups printers list on localhost:631, but hp-toolbox doesn't see it. I think there's a tweak required to the cups configuration to allow hp-toolbox to see the printer, but I can't remember what it is. Anyone know?
I got it to work in 10.0 I had to uninstall the one that came the 10.0 and down load the one from http://hplip.sourceforge.net/index.html and follow the Installation Instructions http://hplip.sourceforge.net/install/index.html to the letter and then it worked for 920c and the 1000 -- Hans Krueger hanskrueger@adelphia.net registered Linux user 289023 411024 -- Check the headers for your unsubscription address For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the archives at http://lists.suse.com Please read the FAQs: suse-linux-e-faq@suse.com
