Hi guys,
I need to add an ASP site on a web server running Apache2 (SuSE 9.1 iirc). This server already has a large number of sites on, so I don't want to put something on it that will cause trouble. Of the APS implementations for Apache2, http://www.apache-asp.org/install.html appears to be the most popular.
Though I'm surprised to see anyone supporting ASP, I'd say give it a go. Should be interesting at the very least. I know I had tried Chili!Soft under Red Hat and Manrake, and was fairly pleasantly surprised at the results. My only issue was with the fact that I was using SQL Server 6 and that just doesn't work on a *nix box. :)
What are your experiences/recommendations?
Well, install it and give it a go. There are tons of sites with example asp scripts than you can copy and try out. From memory, I'm thinking of asp101.com and codeplanet.com for starters. Google brought back 45,800,000 results for asp samples.
Thanks Hans
