I have seen this with a system with a single ethernet port. Once the system is up, with 2 active interfaces, bring up YAST2, edit that device. You probably do not need to make any changes, then simply click on next/finish. The third interface should then come up. I'm not sure if there is a bug in the kernel or the network scripts. The kernel does see the third device.

I have a computer with 3 ethernet ports with different IRQ and connects to PCI bus... I attempt this tests....
Can you help me with SuSE configuration?
Thank You Javier.
--------- Test1 ---------
SO: SuSE 10.0
The system detects the 3 Ethernet interfaces in the installation. (see bootlog1.txt) After 1st reboot the system only detects the leastest 2 (sorted by MAC) interfaces. (see bootlog2.txt) Each interface have assotitiated an IP, but when we do a 'ping command' to this 2 IP's, only response in 1 RJ45 port.
We assotiate: RJ45_1 -- MAC1 --> IP1 RJ45_2 -- MAC2 --> IP2 RJ45_3 -- MAC3 --> IP3 (this interface SuSe10.0 not detect)
tests: ping IP1 - cable connects to RJ45_1 ----> Not response ping IP2 - cable connects to RJ45_1 ----> Not response ping IP2 - cable connects to RJ45_2 ----> Response ping IP1 - cable connects to RJ45_2 ----> Response
------- Test2 ----------
SO: RedHat 7.2 The system detects the 3 Ethernet interfaces ever. The system respond to 'ping command' in each RJ45 port assotiated with his IP.
ping IP1 - cable connects to RJ45_1 ----> Response ping IP2 - cable connects to RJ45_2 ----> Response ping IP3 - cable connects to RJ45_3 ----> Response
