BTW: Sorry about the previous top post. I have seen this with a system with a single ethernet port. Once the system is up, with 2 active interfaces, bring up YAST2, edit that device. You probably do not need to make any changes, then simply click on next/finish. The third interface should then come up. I'm not sure if there is a bug in the kernel or the network scripts. The kernel does see the third device.

On further research, this message comes from /etc/init.d/network
I have found in the case where I have seen it, rcnetwork restart does not
correct the problem. In both your case (1 of 3) and mine (1 of 1) I think I
can reproduce it, and I'll take a look over the weekend.
