I'm pretty sure that changing the "default" window manager, is nothing like removing it completely....
Even Fedora still has KDE, even though their default window manager is that ugly blue-curve thing...
and I'm also sure Novell and RedHat have read this as well :
Torvalds Says 'Use KDE' http://mail.gnome.org/archives/usability/2005-December/msg00021.html QUOTE: ----------------- I personally just encourage people to switch to KDE.
This "users are idiots, and are confused by functionality" mentality of Gnome is a disease. If you think your users are idiots, only idiots will use it. I don't use Gnome, because in striving to be simple, it has long since reached the point where it simply doesn't do what I need it to do.
Please, just tell people to use KDE.
Linus ------------------
Good enough for me ;)
Although I also prefer KDE, one thing to bear in mind, is that enterprise users often need simple. I do computer support for a living and to call some users "idiots" is to be kind. ;-) There are some really dumb users. Some of them even make George Bush look sharp! ;-)
