Hello, I keep the old mail in the bottom in case you don't see it. but I have new infos. the problem I have narrowed is that when copying the .mozilla folder from 10.0 to 10.1 (and after adjusting ownership), I lose the ability of setting "view messages" in any (tested with three version) mozilla. If I delete .mozilla and launch mozilla then mail, it recreates all and I _have_ the setting. the setting I look for is even the default one (little window with "all" or "unread"). if I copy the data from 10.0 to 10.1, I have nearly all, except this small setup. but then mozilla always shows all the post, and in newsgroups it's very annoying. the problem seems to be in the "prefs.js" from the local profile do you know what key in this file rules the message setup and why this change from one distro to the other? (the files being exactly the same) thanks jdd to switch to 10.1, I copied my .mozilla foldeer to the new 10.1 home and adkusted the permissions accordingly. I have all the usual settings, except two (noticed thus far) * I have no more the "all/unread" dropdown list in the mail client * when I clic on an http link in a mail, nothing happen. no windo open same thing with the old mozilla 1.7.12 copied from the old /opt to the new /opt or with the brand new 1.7.13 just downloaded. I know there was a .mozilla directory in my home previously. may be there is there a file I had not before and that keep these infos, but setting permissions, I set all the files dates, so I don't know how to correct this.
