I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask this, but I'm sure someone will tell me if it isn't. :-) I'm trying to get PPTP working on a stock SLES 9.1 with all of the current updates. The error message I get I can't track down on the net. I've successfully setup PPTP on a Fedora 3 box, so I know it's not my network/router/etc.. I've followed the instructions at http://pptpclient.sourceforge.net/howto-suse-91.phtml and am running pptp-php-gtk.php for my GUI. Whenever I try to connect, I get the following error: Connect: ppp0 <--> /dev/pts/2 anon warn[pptp_gre_bind:pptp_gre.c:95]: connect: Resource temporarily unavailable anon fatal[main:pptp.c:245]: Cannot bind GRE socket, aborting. Script pptp 151.198.183.162 --nolaunchpppd finished (pid 6302), status = 0x1 Modem hangup Connection terminated. I noticed that ppp-mppe (which I think is what provides the GRE stuff) wasn't loaded, so I modprobed it it loaded but it looks like it has no effect. linux:~ # lsmod | grep ppp ppp_mppe 16128 0 ppp_async 12160 0 ppp_generic 29588 2 ppp_mppe,ppp_async slhc 7552 1 ppp_generic Yes, I rebooted after configuring everything.
