Normally I just log out, but is there a way to add the shutdown option to the default install of Suse Linux 10? I have checked the control center and yast, and it appears that both SHOULD allow it, but I am not getting the option.
IIUC, there are two places what could cause this behavior (not tested): YaST -> Security and Users -> Local security (*) Custom Settings, click [Next] Click [NEXT] until you see "Boot Permissions" Place 1: Perhaps you need to change the setting here? Or continue clicking [NEXT] until you see "File Permissions" Place 2: Is it set to "Easy"? Continue clicking [NEXT], then click [Final] Please note that I'm not quite sure if this solves your problem. Cheers, Leen
