In main.cf, I added
anvil_status_update_time = 3600s
But this didn't change the behavior. It might be that the log messages are output when the anvil process exits, because all anvil logs have different pids.
Does anybody on this list knows why the log messages appear so often, and how I can change that to do less. Maybe let the anvil process live longer? But how is that configured? (I could also configure syslog-ng to filter out all anvil statistics messages, but that would be the last step.)
My guess would be the master.cf. As the anvil is controled by the master have a look at the max_use parameter. (man master) I don't have a postfix right here so that is basicly a quick guess. Ulf
