I am planing for an network installation of Suse-10 using NFS and AutoYast. I >have kept the source in /install/suse on the NFS server and shared the directory >in /etc/exports (ro,sync,no_root_sqaush). I want people using this NFS Install >source to install custom packages like java-1.5.0-rc1 , compat-gcc32, gtk-devel >etc.. I used this link :http://www.linux.com/howtos/Network-Install-HOWTO-5.shtm I put the external packages in /install/suse/custom/ directory and wrote the following in the autoyast file in addition to what i generated using Yast2->Miscelleanous->autoInstallation
<software> <addons> ............... ............... </addons>
custom <packages config:type="list"> <package>java-1.5.0-rc1.i586.rpm</package> <package>compat-gcc-32-3.2.3-47.fc4</package> <package>AdobeReader_enu-7.0.5-1.i386.rpm</package> </packages><base>Default<base> <software> as it is being told in doc. This autoyast, xml is giving an error during installation time saying control >file format not valid. Is there any other way to setup external packages in yast >such that people can use them when they first install SUSE.
