If I once open /media/dvdram using a Konqueror window, I am unable to eject the DVD-drive so long as that Window is open -- this is somewhat understandable. (Another OS allows eject and closes the window displaying its content -- but I am not saying Linux should behave like that.)
But even after I have closed the tab which was used to read the DVDRAM, until I have completely closed the window (which may contain lots of other tabs) I am not allowed to eject the DVDRAM drive. This is very inconvenient if I find I have inserted the wrong DVD to browse and I have to replace it with another.
Do I report this bug (wishlist) at Novell or KDE?
-- Could this be due to the drive being listed as 'sync' in the fstab file? Perhaps SuSE is merely doing what it should because of this attribute. -- ============================================== I am only human, please forgive me if I make a mistake it is not deliberate. ============================================== Xmas may be over but, PLEASE DON'T drink and drive you'll make it to
