By any chance did you enable the sshd daemon. You have to do this using Yast2->system->run level. As for telnet, it is either there or you have to go to network services -> network services and enable the telnet option. As it was mentioned, telnet is very insecure. Jack Reilly wrote:

Now I need help finding where I can enable SSH and Telnet.
