Hi, I'm using OpenSuse 10.0 at home. And because i have not a good internet connection I do updates offline. Usually I mirror the new rpm at an Update suse mirror (ftp.rediris.es) and with yast (install summary) I choose to reinstall all the blue signed packages. Things have worked quite well for months. A few days ago after doing this procedure I'm unable to boot at runlevel 5. I'm obliged to boot at runlevel 3. After booting at runlevel 3 I can start X, with startx, without any problems. As root I'm still able to start kdm. And if I perform, as root, the command init 5, the X do no appear and for each key of the keybord to work in the console text terminal I must press it twice. When I start at runlevel 3 I got the message that the nfs and smbfs services were skipped. Nevertheless if I disable those services with the runlevel editor I still i'm not able to boot at runlevel 5. This is only an minor worried because after starting X in runlevel 3, with startx, the system performs as expected. Nevertheles any hint how to solve this problem will be welcome.
