I think that this is worth a bug. Did you try to set both samba and cups to use raw mode? Pavel
Pavel, No, we didn't try raw printing here. We only use raw printing when there are true networked printers (like HP) with their own NIC/IP address. Still, to get raw printing to work one needs to uncomment those two lines in the /etc/cups/mime* files, so regardless of raw or not printing the Samba/cups combo is not configured correctly either way. I'll file a bug report and we'll see what's what. Thanks Pavel. Hey Ken, maybe I should open a second bug report, eh? I used a fresh installation of KMail to send my original post, and failed to notice that KMail's default composition is set to html. I would think you would have cut me a little slack, given that all of my other posts on SLES, suse-e, and a bunch-o other lists are almost always in plain text. And then to test the wrath of the top-posting police, when replying -- oh my! ;-) Mark -- _________________________________________________________ A Message From... L.
